Following his schooling he worked for both the federal and provincial governments at the airbase as well as farming. He enjoyed his volunteer time at the heritage renovation of the Gimli Public School 1915 (now the municipal offices) and being part of the "group of nine". He also enjoyed his time with the local Kiwanis club. Tony married May (nee Kardal) on March 27, 1971. He built his new home right next to his birthplace. The happy couple were blessed with two children, Peter and his wife Kara and their two children, Aurora and Stefan; Margrose and her husband Shawn Madak. He also leaves his brother John (Ann) and niece Joanie Smalley; his sister Mary (Wayne Coppin) and niece Megan and Tristan; as well as many other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Rosalia; brother Joey; and his nephew David Peiluck. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gimli Lutheran Church, 50 Third Ave. with Pastor George Johnson officiating. The eulogy dedicated to Tony is scripted by his good friend Morris Kustiak. Interment of ashes will follow in the St. Michaels Cemetery (North Foley on Willow Creek Road). Honorary pallbearers will be Don Benedictson, Glenn Rudney, Oli Narfason, Anton Biluk, Ron Peiluck and Victor Peiluck. The family would like to offer many thanks to Dr. C.N.
