JANE MARGARET PATTON Our beloved Auntie Margie passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15 at the Grace General Hospital, following a short battle with cancer. Born on January 9, 1920 at Dunrea, MB, Margie was the daughter of Adam and Ethel Dunlop. In 1942, she graduated from the Misericordia General Hospital School of Nursing and on August 15 of that same year, married Alvin Patton. During her nursing career she worked for several doctors in Winnipeg, most of those years being at the Manitoba Clinic. Margie lived her life with grace, dignity and humour. She had a kind word and a warm smile for all who knew her, and took a committed and caring interest in the lives of her nieces and nephews and their families. She was always open to new experiences and her zest for life and keen mind made her a joy to be with. She will be lovingly remembered by nephews, Ed (Alice) Drader and Allan (Carole) Drader; nieces, Ethel Hunter, Gladys (Gordon) Mason and Lynne (Lynn) Wright; great-nephews and nieces, Carey (Leanne) Drader, Brian, Todd and Michael Drader, Shaunda Whitmore, Patsy (Craig) Wells, Rodney Drader, DeeDee (Sid) Drake, Kevin Mason, Darryl (Sherri) Mason and Cameron (Crystal) Mason, Ross Hunter and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Alvin; sisters, Laura Drader and Edith Robinson; and niece Pat Heward. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 20, at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. The family would like to thank the staff on Floor 3 and Floor 4 of the Grace Hospital for their thoughtful care and kindness. If friends so desire, donations to the Grace Hospice, in care of Grace Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7 or CancerCare Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, would honour Margaret and be appreciated by the family. Those who live in our hearts will be with us always. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
