CLAUDE CYRIL SPENCE July 27, 1965 - June 15, 2003 "A Tribute to My Son" Footprints in the Sand The most troublesome times in my life, there was only one set of footprints During your times of trial and suffering When you saw only one set of footprints It was then that I carried you... My son was bold, adventurous, and competitive. His many friends and family from Manitoba, Toronto, and across Canada and the United States will hold their love for him continuously. Gichi meegwetch, I say, on behalf of your soulmate, my son, Claude. Thank you to all; you know who you are: Silver Cues, Milies, Rock, North American Pool Champions, Dream Team, and the Las Vegas competitors. Also to family members: Sagkeeng First Nation, and Grandmothers of the Earth (Beverly Courchene, Beverly Cookie Courchene, Doreen Linklater, Marilyn Courchene, Karen Bruyere, and Helen Hayden). Honorary prayers from Lloyd Guimond and his sons and daughter, as well as Debbie Foster, the beautiful mother of Claudes son, Joseph Spence. Claude says farewell to his special brother Jaime. Love to Rene Jr., Darryl, Lorne, his sisters, and a special Meegwetch to "Gabby". "I love you my Aunties!" A wake will be held beginning Tuesday, June 17 at Sagkeeng Roman Catholic Church, Fort Alexander, MB. Funeral services will also be held from the church on Thursday, June 19 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Sagkeeng Cemetery. I love you my son.
