EDWIN MICHAEL PAWLISKI On Tuesday, June 17, 2003 a Heart of Gold stopped beating. It is with deep sadness and great sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving husband, dad, and Papa at the age of 70. Ed will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Joyce, children Tammy and Wes Heide and Rosanne and Terry van Reede; grandson Daniel; granddaughter Amanda; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Maryann and Ted Simpson, Roy and Iris Childs, Marion Childs, Vi Quinn, Thelma and Lawrence Cooper, George Childs, numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Predeceased by his mother Cecilia in 1972; father Walter in 1977; brothers-in-law Clayton Childs, Harold Quinn, and Wallace Childs and his cherished dog "Sasha" who we are sure welcomed Dad in Heaven. Ed was born on June 29, 1932, in Shortdale, MB, the only child of Walter and Cecilia and moved to Winnipeg in his 20s. Ed worked very hard all his life and retired from Canada Packers in 1987 after 31 years. Ed will always be remembered for his gentleness, generosity, kindness and loving ways. His big blue eyes, infectious laughter, and mischievous smile will always be with us. We know you will be smiling down upon us. He was a devoted husband, dad and Papa who cherished the time he spent with his family. Ed loved animals, especially cats and dogs. Ed enjoyed many pastimes including golf, cribbage, curling, watching television and cheering on his Toronto Maple Leafs. Although he had endured illness and pain for many years, he never complained and his spirit was strong until the end. We will miss him dearly. The family would like to thank Dr. Abdulrehman, Dr. Davey, Home Care staff, as well as the nurses and support staff of 2East at Concordia Hospital, especially Francis and Ruth. There truly are angels on earth. Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 22 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23 at 1:00 p.m. at the Klassen Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Think of him as living In the hearts of those he touched For nothing loved is ever lost And he was loved so much. KLASSEN Funeral Chapel 1897 Henderson - North of McIvor - 338-0331
