WILHEIM VOLLINGER It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband and father, Wilheim (Bill) on Thursday, June 19, 2003. He was born in Poland on October 3, 1921 and was fluent in five languages. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Dorine; his four sons, Roy, Richard, Rodger and Randall. He also will be sadly missed by his sisters, Helen and Irene; and brother George; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased tragically by his sister Hermina. Bill was a kind and caring person who placed his family as his first priority. He was a perfectionist at heart and worked as an auto body repair person at Inkster and Winters Auto Body. Bill enjoyed the opportunity of managing Juniors Auto Body prior to his retirement. He enjoyed many summers at the family cottage in the Whiteshell. He was a jack of all trades. One of his most memorable experiences was building the extension of the cottage during his retirement. He also enjoyed fishing and playing the harmonica with his buddy, Alfred. Bill was a member of Blessed Virgin Mary Church for over 50 years. The family wish to thank the staff in ICU and 4 Unit 4 at Seven Oaks Hospital for their patience and understanding. Prayers will be said on Sunday, June 22 at 9:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Divine Liturgy being celebrated on Monday, June 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Ave., with Rt. Rev. Mitrat Gregory Oucharyk officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bills memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Salvation Army.
