Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERNON LEE LEVESQUE (nee TRAINOR) With great sadness our family announces the passing of our mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Vernon passed away peacefully June 21, 2003 in the Pine Falls Hospital at the age of 79. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Markham (Annette) Lee of Conestogo, ON and family Jennifer (Ken) Foster and daughter Savannah of Wilmington, NC, Heather (Tesh) Nielsen of Conestogo, ON, Sean Lee of Conestogo, ON; son Patrick (Lynn) Lee of St. Andrews, MB, and family, Jenna, Kelsey and Christa Lee; daughter Michal Lee of Waterloo, ON and Casey Lee, (Tabby Cat, Extraordinaire). Vernon is survived by brothers, Glen (Betty) Lester and Lorne (Anne) Lester; sister Marina (Jim) Chapel and sister-in-law Helen Trainor. She was predeceased by her mother Laela Ateah-Lester, father Albert Trainor, stepfather Rex Lester, sister Ellen (Walter) Whyte and brother Bert Trainor. Vernon was born in Winnipeg, MB February 20, 1924 to Laela (Ateah) and Albert Trainor. Laela later married Rex Lester, who continued to nurture and love Vernon, Ellen and Bert Trainor along with their own additions of Glen, Lorne and Marina Lester. Vernon was the granddaughter of pioneers Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ateah of Victoria Beach. She also continued throughout her life as a pioneer. Her achievements are too many to mention. Her kindness, generosity, and her humour will be fondly remembered by her family, friends and the creatures of the woods. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of the Pine Falls Hospital for their kindness and care. A special love and thank you to Stella, Liz and homecare team from the Lee family. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 25, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Michaels Church, Victoria Beach with Rev. Fraser Muldrew officiating. Interment to follow in the Victoria Beach Community Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in Vernons memory may be made to Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6.
