MARIE-MARTHE LEVESQUE February 8, 1917 - June 19, 2003 A loving mother, a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2003 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Marie-Marthe (nee Gagnon) was predeceased by her beloved husband Gustave on August 21, 2002. She leaves to mourn her five children, Armand (Eveline), Annette Partridge (Tom Vigue), Denis (Shirley), Huguette Gobeil (Leo) and Rachel Brown. Also left to cherish her memory are her 10 grandchildren, Robert and Martin Levesque, Nicole Partridge, Jason and Danielle Levesque, Chantale and Joel Gobeil and Liette, Rhonda and Jolene Brown, and her 10 great-grandchildren. Marie-Marthe is survived by two brothers, Jean-Marie (Germaine) Gagnon and Adrien (Louisa) Gagnon and two sisters, Laurette (Leo) Dumaine and Emma Trudeau; sisters-in-law, Fabienne Gagnon, Marie Ange Gagnon, Jeannine Gagnon. She was predeceased by her parents, Lucien Gagnon and Eugenie (Proulx) and five brothers, Adeodat, C.S.V., Emile, Leopold, Antonio and Roland Gagnon; two sisters-in-law, Denise Gagnon and Eva Gagnon; one brother-in-law Lucien Trudeau. She also leaves to mourn her brothers-in-law, Don (Lea) Levesque and Alfred (Anita) Levesque; sisters-in-law Agathe Lacasse, Armande Faso, Odile Vermette, Sr. Adrienne Levesque, S.N.J.M. and Lea Fenez. She also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Marie-Marthe was a devoted wife for 62 years. She was a loving and caring mother and a doting Memere. She gave of herself unconditionally and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. The family wishes to thank Centre Tache for the wonderful care given to their mother in the last seven months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Centre Tache, 185 Despins St., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2B3 or to the Palliative Care, St. Boniface General Hospital, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 9Z9. Funeral mass will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23 at the Sainte-Agathe Roman Catholic Church, with Father Charles Fillion presiding. Interment will follow in the Sainte-Agathe Parish Cemetery. There will be viewing at 3:30 p.m. until the time of service.
