Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVA IDA JOHANNA SCHOCH (nee BECKER) Suddenly and peacefully on June 19, 2003, Eva passed away at home at the age of 72 after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by her parents, Erich and Margarethe Becker, she leaves to cherish her memory her husband Gunter; her daughters, Sylvia Kuzyk (Glen), Juana Schoch, Simone Oar (Robert) her sons, Clifford Schoch (Flynne) and Christopher Schoch (Arlyss). Omi also leaves behind eight dearly loved grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In Berlin she leaves to mourn her sister Irene Streup (Heribert) and brother-in-law Werner Schoch. Eva was born on August 16, 1930 in Berlin, Germany. As a promising fashion designer, she married her life long love of almost 55 years, Gunter, in Berlin. It was here where they had their first child, Sylvia. Leaving the post-war ruins behind in 1953, they were drawn to the promise of a new life in a new land. Making Winnipeg their home, from a small, struggling family of three, it grew through the years to leave behind a legacy of a much loved and cherished family here today. Each and every one from the eldest to the babes is inherently blessed with a spark of life from this remarkable, loving and beautiful soul. A service and celebration of Evas life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 26 at Mission Baptist Church, 771 Sargent Ave. in Winnipeg, followed by a reception in the Church. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul. Rev. Eberhard Hees officiating. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220
