Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY EDITH GERING Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, Shirley passed away at the age of 59 years at the Grace General Hospital on June 21, 2003. Shirley was born on November 15, 1943 in Grahamdale, MB. She grew up in the Faulkner area, went to school at Aston Villa and Grahamdale. She moved to Winnipeg and worked in the insurance business at Canadian Indemnity and then at H.E.D. as a Claims Examiner. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and especially attending family gatherings. Shirley will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her mom Edith, and her brothers, Gordon (Claire), Fred (Shirley) her sister Marilyn (Herb) nieces, Stephanie (Rodney), Lisa (Peter), Michelle (Cory) nephew David (Carla), and great-nephews, Chris, Jack, Marcus and Zachery, also many cousins, friends, and co-workers. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the Peace Lutheran Church, Moosehorn with Rev. Kolleen Karlowsky-Clark officiating. Interment to follow in the Faulkner Cemetery. The family would like to thank her fibro friends and B.C.A.M. support group. We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the loving care shown to Shirley by the staff of the Palliative Care Ward at Grace Hospital. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to spend some time with her, and also to those who sent flowers and gifts. With gentle grace she left this world on Angel wings to join her dad in Heaven.
