Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARCEL LARAMEE It is with great sorrow that the family of Marcel Laramee announces his passing on June 22, 2003 at the age of 80. Marcel was predeceased by his loving wife Marie, of 56 years; parents Edmond and Yvonne; sisters, Cecile Prefontaine, Denise Olson, Pauline Ciwko; brother Leon and godchild Brian Olson. He leaves to mourn his passing three sisters, Albertine McCaughan, Augustine Prefontaine, Yvonne Robidoux; three brothers, Emile, Gustave (Helene) and Joseph (Eva) sisters-in-law, Dot Laramee, Cecile Brown, Irene Rheault; brother-in-law Oscar Legault (Florence) godchildren, Sylvia Lagasse, Carole Regnier, Lorraine Trudeau, Greg Brown, Helene DeMarcke and Mitch Laramee, along with numerous nieces and nephews who were all made to feel like his own children. Marcel was born on April 19, 1923. He married his true love Marie Legault on October 29, 1946. The lived in Elie for a number of years before moving to the St. Boniface area. You were always welcomed at Mac and Maries and the hospitality was second to none. In his early years, Marcel spent his winters logging in Ontario with his brother Leon. During the summer, his time was spent farming for Mr. Lachance. Later in life, he worked for Supercrete where he finally retired after 33 years of service. He took great pride in everything he did. Marcel and Marie enjoyed many years camping in the Big Whiteshell and later at their cottage at Booster Lake. He loved hunting, fishing, and his cottage, but most of all he loved Marie and life without her was not meant to be. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Road with labbe Leo Couture officiating. Urn Placement will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may wish to make a donation in his memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to Uncle Joe, Auntie Eva and Auntie Dot for their endless support and who devoted many hours giving him love and comfort to the very end.
