HELENA MARTENS Passed away on June 21, 2003 at the age of 90, at the River East Personal Care Home. Beloved wife of Gerhard Martens of Winnipeg. Besides her husband; she is survived by one daughter Elisabeth her husband Robert Finnigan of Winnipeg; and five sons, Horst and wife Elfride of Abbotsford, BC, Heinz of Paraguay, Peter and wife Trudy of Calgary, AB, Hugo and wife Linda of Patricia Beach, MB, Jake and wife Jill of Neepawa, MB; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister Justina Koop of Winnipeg; and one brother Heinrich Rempel of Paraguay. She was predeceased by one daughter Brunhilde and one son Art. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26, at 10:00 a.m., at the Springfields Heights Mennonite Church, 570 Sharron Bay, Winnipeg, MB. Viewing at the church, prior to the service.
