GARY EDWARD MCCORMACK November 8, 1959 - June 23, 2003 A man of direct action, Gary always got straight to the point. He needed few words to effectively express his feelings and opinions. Honest--some might say brutally honest--and plain-spoken, he was also a gentle and loving person who cared deeply for the people in his life and society as a whole. An honourable man in every sense of the word, Gary had the capacity to deal with serious matters in a purposeful manner, demonstrating confidence and determination, letting nothing overwhelm him. At the same time, his excellent sense of humour made light of the sometimes tragic and serious nature of life, bringing much joy and happiness to those who knew and loved him. Gary was one of a kind. For those of us whose lives he touched, he will live on forever in our hearts and minds as a man worthy of profound love, respect and affection. Go in peace Gary, until we meet again in a better place. Predeceased by his parents, Phyllis and Douglas McCormack and his nephew Christopher Wolfe, Gary leaves to mourn his loving partner Sylvia Mouflier; their sponsored daughter Hadiatu Aliu; his brothers, Lionel and Doug McCormack; his sisters, Penny McCormack, Phyllis Wolfe and Ethel McMillan; his nieces and nephews, Kenny, Jamie, Vincent, Alison, Curtis, David, Tammy, Cassandra, Dustin, Ryley, Coral, Sandi, Kory, and Jamie. Also left to mourn him are his close friends, Rory and Judy St. Pierre, Russell Bell, Chuck VandenBoer, Pam Duguay and Eunice Woodman. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 27 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Marks Anglican Church, 19 St. Marks Place with Rev. Ian Peterson presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba and/or Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematorium Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, 222-3241
