Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY CLARK (nee TAYLOR) Dorothy Clark, Lac du Bonnet, MB passed away peacefully at her residence at the BoniVista Lodge on Sunday, June 22, 2003. She was born on September 9, 1901 in Otterburne, MB, the only daughter of Charles and Nora Taylor and eldest sister of John R. Taylor, Harold Charles, both deceased and Lloyd Everley Taylor of Lac du Bonnet. She is survived by 11 nieces and five nephews, one sister-in-law Minnie Taylor of British Columbia. In 1944, she married Stephen J. Clark, eldest son of Joseph and Kitty Clark of Headingly, MB. Her dearly beloved husband passed away in 1960. In 1961, she joined Allan Killam and McKay Realty, enrolled at the University of Manitoba and received her F.R.I. Fellowship in the Real Estate Institute of Canada in 1971. She held life memberships in the I.O.D.E. and The Grain Exchange Curling Club and served as secretary treasurer for the Manitoba Ladies Curling Club for four years. Retiring from Manitoba Public Insurance Co. in 1975 and moving to Seven Sisters Falls, she was asked to cook for the Wildlife Association Outdoor School, so she became active in that association. She joined in the fish propagation and dug a pond on her property for fish. The Manitoba government gave her the Wildlife Co-operation Award in 1985 and finally an Honorary Life Membership was awarded to her in 1988 by Seven Sisters Wildlife Association. Always aware of the surroundings and ready to assist in any way possible to enhance the situation, she could be depended on for assistance. She was always ready to listen to her fellow mens and womens ideas, and help with her knowledge and experience if she could. Dorothy had also been a member of the Ladies Auxiliary R.C.L., Lac du Bonnet, the Pioneer Club in Lac du Bonnet, the Happy Hour Club of Whitemouth and the Sunrise Social Club in Seven Sisters Falls. She will be missed. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, MB with Rev. Peter Cain officiating. Interment will follow on Thursday, June 26 at 10:30 a.m. at the Garry Memorial Cemetery, McGillvary Boulevard, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothys memory may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
