AGANETHA (AGNES) PETERS 1913-2003 On Sunday, June 22, 2003, at Boundary Trails Health Centre, R.M. of Stanley, Aganetha (Agnes) Peters, age 89 years, of Winkler, formerly of Gnadenthal, went to her eternal rest. Mom was a ray of sunshine for all whose paths she crossed. She accepted everyone with love and kindness. Her intellect far exceeded her education and she was a worthy Scrabble opponent to one and all. She had a sense of humour like no other. She could find something to laugh at no matter what the circumstances and this attribute served her well right up to the end. Mom lived her life with dignity and grace and will never know how much influence she had over each and every one of us. Mom, we will miss you more than you could ever know and your impact on our lives will live forever. Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband Johann Peters (1989) her parents, Heinrich and Anna (Krahn) Born; four brothers and two sisters. She leaves to mourn her four sons, John R. and Edna of Winnipeg; George of Winnipeg; Peter and Edna of Thornhill; Menno and Linda of Winnipeg; two daughters, Ruth and Peter Kroeker of Altona, Elfrieda Peters of Winnipeg; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers, George (Margaret) Born of Blumenort, Bill (Mary) Born of Winnipeg and David (Shirley) Born of Langley, BC; and three sisters, all of Winnipeg, Anna Rempel, Tina (Stan) Fields and Elsie Braun. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday June 25, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Wiebe Funeral Home, 121 8th St., Winkler and at the church prior to the service. Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 26, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Blumenort Mennonite Church, Rosetown, with Rev. Peter Zacharias officiating. Interment will follow at Gnadenthal Cemetery.
