Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE KENNETH BIERWIRTH After a lengthy illness, George Kenneth Bierwirth passed away on June 22, 2003 with his family by his side. Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Vera. One daughter Dianne (Rod) Martin with daughters, Kristin and Kelly; one son Lyle (Josephine) Bierwirth with daughters, Jackie, Ashley, Victoria, and Veronica. Ken will also be sadly missed by brothers, Alex (Beatrice) and Hank (Philis) Bierwirth and sister Beatrice Borsato. Ken will also be remembered by nephew Leonard (Agnes) Bierwirth. Ken is also survived by numerous extended family and friends. Ken was born on December 30, 1928 in Rosthern, SK and grew up in Prince Albert, SK and Swan River, MB. He also lived in Virden, Portage la Prairie and Winnipeg. Ken was a journeyman electrician and worked for 45 years as a projectionist in the cinema theatre business. Ken was a quiet, kind, and loving family man who enjoyed the outdoors and his garden. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home and the nurses and doctors for their care on U5 at Seven Oaks Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kens name may be made to the AlzheimerÕs Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald St., R3C 4G2, or charity of choice. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. A reception will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre.
