FANNY DOROTHY (DOT) HERMANNS (nee BENNETT) (1917 - 2003) Predeceased in 1999 by her beloved husband Arthur Hermanns; her parents Herbert and Elisabeth Bennett; and her brother Bill Bennett. Dorothy was born in Kleefeld, MB, and went to high school in Charleswood. She and Art married in 1936 and resided in Winnipeg until moving to Alberta in 1989 to spend more time with their family. Dorothy and Art owned and operated Fairhaven Florist Shop for over 40 years in Winnipeg. Many summers were spent at Lake of the Woods, Ponemah Beach and Leaf Lakes, MN. Dorothy is survived by her children, Leigh Anne (Lin) Sommers (Teo Mance) of Winnipeg, MB, Bill Hermanns of Pittsburgh, PA, and Gill Hermanns (Allison) of St. Albert, AB; seven grandchildren, Sherrie, Dwayne, Lena, Kerrie, Shauna, Eric and Marc; two great-grandchildren, Chance and Leif. Dorothy blessed our lives with love, warmth and laughter. Our thanks to the staff at the Youville Nursing Home in St. Albert for the kind and compassionate care over the last five years.
