STANLEY MELNYK With deep sadness we announce the passing of Stan Melnyk at age 68 years at St. Boniface Hospital on Monday, June 23, 2003 with family at his side. Stan will sadly missed by his wife Evelyn of 45 years; son Allan (Kathy) daughters, Linda Fults (Don), Lori and Andrea; granddaughter Stacey; and grandson Matthew; sister Elsie Hayduk (John) brother Allan of Toronto as well as his niece, nephews and grandniece; mother-in-law Nellie Boychuk and many family and friends. Stan was predeceased by his parents, Osyp and Anne; uncle Dmetro and father-in-law John. Stan was born in 1934 in Soroky, Ukraine and immigrated to Canada with his parents in 1950. He enjoyed sports and was active in soccer and table tennis where he made lasting friends. He loved the lake. His passion was building the cottage, planting trees and spending every weekend at the lake with his family. Stan retired from C.P. Rail Weston shops, where he was employed for 27 years. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 27 at 3:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with viewing one half hour prior to service. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at 5E at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and support. Flowers are gratefully declined, should friends so desire donations may be made to the Liver & Kidney Foundation or to a charity of choice.
