ELIE NORMAND July 5, 1910 - June 23, 2003 Peacefully, with his family by his side, Elie passed away on June 23, 2003, at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 92 years. Elie leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 58 years Marie-Jeanne (nee Gagnon) his children, George, Gerry (Nan) and Renee (Len) Peterson; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; his first wife Nellie in 1935; his daughter-in-law Priscilla; five brothers and three sisters. Elie was a quiet man who had a strong belief in his faith. His greatest love and joy was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the St. Boniface Hospital as well as the homecare workers. Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25 at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 847 St. Marys Rd. Mass of the Resurrection will be held also at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, June 26 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Renato Pasinato presiding. Interment to follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
