NORMA ARLENE FISHER (nee HAMILTON) August 26, 1965 - June 20, 2003 It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our wife, mother, sister, grandmother, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law and aunt, Norma Fisher, who passed away on Friday, June 20, 2003. Norma was heading home to Bloodvein with family members when their boat overturned on Lake Winnipeg. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Martin Fisher (40) her children, George (21) (Allison), Justin (20) (Veronica), Tricia (18), Colleen (15), Tina (13), Junior (10), Kristy (5) and Bobby (3) her brothers, Purvis and Kirby (Carol) her sisters, Marie (Michael), Pauline (Wilmur), Vera, Julie (Craig) and Janice; her grandchildren, Little George, Hailey, Jaye-C and Nolan; her mother-in-law Florence Fisher; brothers-in-law, Felix, Stanford (Eva) sisters-in-law, Emma (Roy), Barbara, Priscilla and Margie. There are numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Norma was predeceased by her father Gordon Hamilton on March, 2003; mother Florence Hamilton on July, 1997; brother William (Billy) Hamilton on October, 1990 (who also passed away on Lake Winnipeg when the boat he piloted also overturned) sister-in-law Sylvia Orvis on August, 1997, niece Crystal Fisher on January, 2003; grandson Nicholas Hamilton on November, 1999; niece Judy Fisher on June 20, 2003 who was also travelling with Norma. Norma lived in Bloodvein all her life. She was an employee at Brent Mowat Memorial Daycare Centre, a homemaker (she cleaned and cooked for elders) and was also a member of the local school committee. Norma was a kind, loving woman who loved to laugh and enjoyed visiting family and friends. Facing life without you, Is very hard to bear, For losing you the way we did, Will always seem unfair. You left behind a lot of broken hearts Mostly happy memories. But we never wanted memories We only wanted you. We hold you close within our hearts And there you will remain, To walk with us throughout our lives Until we meet again. And when we reach that garden In which there is no pain, Well put our arms around you And never part again. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, June 24 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave. at Parr, Winnipeg. Wake services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, Thursday, June 26 and Friday, June 27 at Bloodvein, MB. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28 at 1:30 p.m. at the Miskooseepi School Gymnasium with Rev. Henry Neufeld officiating. Interment to follow at Bloodvein Cemetery.
