He will be sadly missed and is lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Peggy, his "Peg of my Heart"; two daughters, Carol and Julie, their husbands, Douglas and Michael; his son Doug and wife Kelly; and grandchildren, James, Jocelyn, Dale, and Ainsley. Ken was born in Forest Gate, London, England on February 21, 1928. He immigrated to Canada in 1974 and worked as a production control manager for Carte Electric until his retirement in 1988. Ken and Peggy moved to Stonewall in 1986. They loved their lives together and spent many happy times vacationing in their favourite spot - Maui. They also travelled back home to England frequently to see friends and family. Ken, Dad, or "Grandan" as he was affectionately called by his grandchildren, was an example of love and kindness to all those who knew him. When he wasnt enjoying English soccer on TV, he loved making things in his garage workshop, writing poetry, and pickling onions. His presence will be indescribably missed by his friends and loving family. A celebration of Kens life will be held Saturday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Home, Main Street, Stonewall. A private burial has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Kens name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
