ROBERT HARRY AUSTIN
Born: Nov 26, 1940
Date of Passing: Jun 22, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT HARRY AUSTIN November 26, 1940 - June 22, 2003 On Sunday, June 22, 2003, Harry Austin passed away at the age of 62 years. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a man with a keen sense of justice and a strong spirit of independence. Harry worked as a plumber/pipefitter for most of his adult life. In his younger years, baseball, hockey, snowmobile racing and canoeing were his passions. He loved the outdoors and cherished his time living on lakefronts. During his life, Harry dealt with many challenges. Lung disease resulted in a lung transplant 11 years ago, and kidney failure necessitated frequent dialysis over the past few years. His final challenge was to deal with a recent diagnosis of cancer. He rose to each challenge with the determined spirit of a true survivor. Unfortunately, his will to survive was not matched by his bodys ability. In accordance with Harrys wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life, which will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 29 in Ninette, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harrys memory to the Manitoba Transplant Program, GE441-820 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1R9. "Harry, we know that you are sitting on a deck somewhere, looking out over a lake. Take a deep breath of fresh air and grab the paddle for your canoe. Its time to start living again".
