PAT (PATRICIA) FERN WILCOX (NEE BUECHLER) After a brief and courageous battle with cancer, Pat passed away early Thursday morning, June 26, 2003, at the Grace General Hospital in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 58 years. She leaves to mourn her close and personal friend Larrie Murchison; five children, Trevor Wilcox, Robin Wilcox (Joelle Spencer), Tyler Wilcox, Michelle Wilcox, all of Winnipeg, MB and Tricia Docherty (Wilcox) and her children Brayden and Abraham-Earl of Stettler, AB; mother Lexie Buechler of Portage la Prairie, MB; sister Tammy Graham and Craig and their children Samantha, Chris and Lexie of Slave Lake, AB; brother Larry Buechler and Tudy and their children Darcey, Daryl and Shane of Portage la Prairie, MB. Pat was predeceased by her father Fernie Buechler in July 1970. Pat was born and raised in Portage la Prairie. Shortly after doing some schooling at Misericordia Hospital for nursing, she met and married Chuck Wilcox from Winnipeg and were happily married for more than 20 years. They owned and operated many businesses including "Pat & Chucks Subs Plus" in Unicity Mall. Pat was also very active in the community taking her children to many hockey, ringette and soccer games at Heritage/Victoria Community Club. She had just celebrated her 10 years of continuous sobriety. The fellowship will deeply feel a loss. She was an outstanding aid to many people. At the time of her passing Pat was working at Golden West Centennial Lodge in Winnipeg. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Pats funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28 at 10:00 a.m. in Kirkfield United Church, 472 Kirkfield St., Winnipeg. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Portage la Prairie. A big thanks from Pat and her family to the doctors and nurses at Grace General Hospital for the support and encouragement over the last month, it is greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pats memory to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba, 1031 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3G 0R8, Attention: Finance Department or to the Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Rd., Winnipeg, MB, R2Y 0S8.
