WILLIAM HOLOWCHUK Peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at his residence in Elmira, ON, Bill Holowchuk passed away in his 85th year. Predeceased by his first wife Margaret (Quennell) 1973 and his second wife Margot (OConnor), May 8, 2003. Dear father of Mary Ellen Beisel and her children, Stephen (Jennifer) and Warren (Laura), all of Kincardine. Ronald and his wife Wendy and their children, Echoe and Chantel, all of Wallenstein, David and his wife Fran Elliott and their children, Brett and Kristen, all of Kitchener. Also survived by Paul OConnor and his wife Florence and their children, Teri and Shannon of Kitchener, Carol OConnor and her children, Matthew and Jonathon of Waterloo, Roderick OConnor of Toronto. Fondly remembered by Peter Crawley of Ottawa, Malcolm Kendall of Toronto; brother of Peter Holowchuk, Bernice (Mrs. Fred Benson), Stella (Mrs. Harry Blaschuk) and Cassie (Mrs. Vic Shepherd), all of Winnipeg and Olga (Mrs. Reg White) of Dryden, ON. Son of the late Michael Holowchuk and Katharine Carr of Winnipeg and stepson of the late Pauline Holowchuk. Predeceased by his uncle and aunt Roman and Mary Golko. Bill received his commission in the Canadian Army and served in England during the Second World War. Following his discharge, he was employed by Martin Feed Mills, Elmira, until his retirement in 1984. He was a longtime and active member of St. Aidans Anglican Church, Elmira. At Bills request, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation. A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 28 at St. Aidans Anglican Church, Elmira at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Diane Jamieson officiating. A family interment of cremated remains will follow in Elmira Union Cemetery. In Bills memory, donations to St. Aidans Anglican Church or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, ON.
