Walter was baptized on June 25, 1967 at the Southminster Presbyterian Church in Brandon, MB and registered at the United Church in Fort McMurray. Walter was no simple man, many trades were under his belt. From carpenter to Heavy Equipment Operator to Supervisor, he always took his job seriously and with great dedication. This took him throughout Manitoba across to Alberta. In the latter ten years, he was employed with Midwest Foods. Also, he enjoyed the little things in life, such as gong on wildlife drives, coffee club meetings, to chatting with the neighbour across the fence. But mostly, he adored his loving wife and showed real pride, when it came to his children and grandchildren. Finally, Walter also found his way back to Jesus and prayed for his family endlessly, hoping he could make a difference in some small way. He found great comfort in his favourite Psalm, Psalm 23. His final expressions were, "I love you all". Walter will be greatly missed! Funeral service was held on Monday, May 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Evangelical Free Church of Carberry. Officiating were Pastor Will Feldbusch and Reverend Peggy Reid. Interment followed at Austin Summerfelder Cemetery. My precious Darlin Walter - You have gone on a journey, I cannot yet take how wonderful for you, how lonely for me. We have parted for a time but we will meet again to part no more. In faith, all I can do is to place my shattered heart in the hands of God. Your ever loving wife Rose
