MICHAEL PAUL EDWARDS It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Michael, on his 40th birthday, surrounded by his family, at the Grace Hospital. Michael was born in Calgary, AB, on June 26, 1963 and moved to Winnipeg with his family in 1965. He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Margaret and Peter; his brothers, Jim (Lin), Kevin, and Mark Edwards (Susan Hassan) as well as his sisters, Maureen Kuntz, Maryellen Edwards, Valerie Edwards (Philippe Mailhot) and Barbara Bell. Michael is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Michelle Edwards, Teresa Fingland (Sean), Scott Kuntz, Jake, Stephen and Matthew Bell, Paul, Danielle and Alyse Mailhot, Alixe Edwards and Kelly Edwards, along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by twin sisters, Margaret and Mary; and his grandparents, Hermina and Charles Edwards and Anna and Frank Stanton. There have been many people and agencies who touched Michaels life and helped him reach his full potential. He was educated at the Kinsmen Center, Montrose School and Prince Charles School. Michael took pride in his current job at Volvo Truck Centre as a member of the SCE Lifeworks Team. Michael was a fun-loving, caring and kind individual with a wonderful sense of humour. He participated in Special Olympics for many years as a member of the Stingray Swim Club and the Uptown Rollers 5-pin bowling league. He enjoyed movies, concerts, dancing, TV, music and camping. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospital for their care and efforts to save Michael. We deeply appreciate the prayers and support of Fr. Joseph Johnson sj, and the Grace Hospital Pastoral Care Team. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michaels memory to the Manitoba Marathon Foundation, 200 Main St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4M2.
