DON (DONALD GERALD) MCGILLIVRAY 1927 - 2003 Journalist Don McGillivray died in Victoria, BC, on June 24, 2003. Born in Moose Jaw, Don was a reporter and columnist for the Winnipeg Tribune from 1955 to 1962 before becoming a Southam News Services reporter and columnist, reporting to the Tribune from Ottawa, Washington and London, England. Donations to Don McGillivray Scholarship Fund, care of Development and Alumni Office, Room 510, Carleton University, 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, ON K1S 5B6, or on-line at Carleton.ca/alumni. Memorial service at the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa, 30 Cleary Ave., at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12. An event to celebrate Dons life for family, friends, former colleagues and students is being planned for Sunday, October 19, 2003 in Ottawa.
