ANNASTASIA (NELLIE) SOKOLOSKI August 24, 1915 - June 25, 2003 It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the loss of our beloved mother and grandmother. Peacefully with her family by her side, Nellie passed away at the age of 87 years, at Central Park Lodge on Poseidon Bay. Nellie is survived by her daughter Lorraine (Harold) her beloved grandchildren, Tonya (Jason), Jason (Jennifer) sister Lena; and faithful companion Jake. Nellie was predeceased by her husband Michael; parents John and Mary Sokil; sisters, Katherine and Ann; brothers, Nick, Mike, Harry, Dan; and nephew Mike. Mom was born and raised in Meleb, MB. She was always the happiest in helping and doing for others any way she could. She will be fondly remembered for her steadfast caring, generous heart, strong work ethics and great sense of humour. Mom enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, knitting and gardening. Her greatest joy was mushroom and berry picking and time spent at the old homestead in Meleb and the family cottage at Nutimik Lake. The family would like to extend special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Central Park Lodge, especially the second floor. Too numerous to mention each name, we will never forget the loving care you extended to our mother and to all of us. At Moms request, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held. Should friends and family so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society or to the Humane Society. Thank you, Mom, for everything you always did for all of us. We will always treasure your loving touch and fond memories. To be together in the same old way would be our dearest wish for today. We will never forget you.
