IDA WAGNER Peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2003, Ida Wagner, beloved Mother and Nana, passed away at the Riverview Health Centre. Ida is survived by her two daughters, Karen and Wayne Beatty, Marlene and Dieter Klein; granddaughters, Kaitlin and Adrienne; sister, Frieda and Richard Ellis of Winnipeg; as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gus, her parents, August and Wanda Macholz; and sister Erna. Ida was born November 25, 1926 and came to Canada at a very early age. The family settled in the East Kildonan area, where she resided most of her life. She was a lifetime member of the Lutheran Church in Winnipeg at Trinity and Peace Lutheran Churches. She married Gus on October 20, 1945 and her marriage and her family became her career. Ida loved to sew, garden, cook and bake. She was always making cookies for her granddaughters, baking for her daughters and would give a helping hand wherever it was needed. She loved spending her time with her family and especially loved the summers at Matlock. We are very thankful that we had her as our mother, Nana and friend. Thank you to Dr. F. Crow for her care of Mom over the past several years. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 1, between 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 350 Gilmore Ave., with Pastor Brad Schollenberg officiating.
