Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID MICHAEL YANCIW It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Michael Yanciw on June 26, 2003. He was predeceased by his father Peter Yanciw. He is survived by his wife, Dela and his children, Stephanie and Sam; his mother Lillian Yanciw; sisters, Marion, Linda (Mark), and Barbara; nieces and nephews, Len (Tanya), Michael, Greg, Tammy, Brandi, Jeremy, Jessica, Dylen, Lennox, and Brooklyn, as well as many other relatives and friends. David was born on January 24, 1963. He grew up on a farm in Winnipeg Beach. He began his career in carpentry at Selkirk Lumber. He later moved to Winnipeg where he attended Red River College, gaining his apprenticeship in carpentry, and going on to own his own construction company. When he was younger, he played hockey in Winnipeg Beach where he was also a volunteer fireman. He also had a great love for vehicles and loved Nascar racing. He loved the outdoors, camping with his family, and just spending time with family and friends. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 1 at Thomson Funeral Chapels 669 Broadway, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2 at Thomson Funeral Chapel. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Robson, Greg Robson, Lorne Lavallee, Lindsey Hansen, Lui Strapazzon, and Chris Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Childrens Wish Foundation.
