Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAURA MAY ZABUDNEY (WILLETTS) Peacefully, on Friday, June 27, 2003 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Laura May Zabudney, aged 85 years of Winnipeg Beach, formerly of Winnipeg passed away. Laura is survived by her beloved husband Carl, her daughter May (George) Cannell, grandchildren, George (Pat) and Paul Cannell and Kristin (Dave) Henderson; great-granddaughter Chelsey Henderson; sisters, Clara and Emma; son-in-law Robert Rogers and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband David Marshall Willetts in 1984, her parents, William and Ellen; her daughter Ruby Irene Rogers; three brothers and one sister. She was born on January 23, 1918 in Emo, ON where she was raised. Laura moved to Winnipeg, where she married her first husband David in 1936. She met her second husband Carl and they were married in 1994 and she moved to Winnipeg Beach. She worked at Birks Jewellery for many years. Laura also enjoyed many summers spent at her cottage in Matlock, her flowers, especially her roses and time spent with friends. She was an active member of the Winnipeg Beach Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 2 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Mr. Bob McArthur presiding. A viewing will be held one-half hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the St. Williams Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
