DELMAR BARTLEY Peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2003 at the Grace Hospital, Delmar Bartley passed away at the age of 76 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Flo; his children, Sharlene (Roy Yerex), Daniel (Joanne), Larry (Janice Tighe), and Murray (Joann). He was predeceased by his son Keith and brother Rodney and is survived by four grandchildren, Christopher, Candace, Daniel, Christine, and one great-grandson, Cody. Del is survived by his brothers and sisters, Francis (Barney), Shirley (John), Jack, Gary (Elaine), and Gerry (Theresa). Dear sister-in-law Linda Bartley and dear cousin Norma Leach (Herb), Clayton Bartley and Uncle Art Bartley survive him. As a young man he farmed on the homestead in Killarney and his passions were trapping and hunting until he became ill three years ago. He worked as a power engineer for the government for 32 years. He retired to Lee River where he lived for 22 years and enjoyed travelling, fishing, hunting, trapping and gardening with his dear wife and best friend Flo. Del lived for his wife and children until his passing. He truly had an unselfish love for his family. This was his goal in life and he did succeed. Dad we love you and you will be in our hearts forever. It is with deepest gratitude that we thank the staff on the third floor of Grace Hospital. A funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd, Charleswood on Wednesday July 2 at 1:00 p.m. A private interment will follow at a later date.
