FREDERICK CHEETHAM It is with great sadness that the family of Frederick Cheetham announces his passing on June 28, 2003 at the age of 75 years. His memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 48 years Alice (Kitsch) his three children, daughter Barbara (Dale) Schmidt of Langenberg, SK; sons, Barry and Keith (Judy) six grandchildren, Tammy (Mike) Chartier, Dale, Devon and Darren Schmidt, and Michael and Kevin Cheetham; great-grandson Caleb Chartier. Dad is also survived by brothers-in-law, Earl (Ali) Kitsch, Calvin Kitsch; and sisters-in-law, Erna (Dan) Giest, Bertha Haberman, Norma Dunkley; and many nieces and nephews. Fred was the only child born to Fred and Catherine Cheetham on April 23, 1928. He married his soul mate on June 18, 1955 and together they raised three children. Fred worked for many years at Community Printers and was employed at Roscoe Printers until his retirement in 1992. Freds greatest enjoyment was his family and he welcomed a visit anytime. Fred enjoyed summers visiting family in Saskatchewan and looked forward to the many bar-b-ques with family and friends where he could always be seen playing lawn darts or trying to arrange a card game. He especially enjoyed teaching his grandchildren the art of playing "Wist". Dad loved old movies and had stories to share about the many books he read. We will miss him terribly. Prayers will be held on July 2, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 3, at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 59 Academy Rd. at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor James Scholtz officiating. Graveside service to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be nephews, Vern, Jerry and Bruce Haberman, Ray and Dennis Giest, and Roy Dunkley. Flowers are gratefully declined and donations may be made in Freds honour to CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
