NORAH MADELINE DU BEDAT
Date of Passing: Jun 29, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORAH MADELINE DU BEDAT Peacefully on June 29, 2003 at Tuxedo Nursing Home, Winnipeg, Norah Madeline Du Bedat, aged 101 years, passed away. Norah was born Cartwright, MB. She is survived by her nieces, Rosemary Fague, Lillian Greenwood and Hazel Pople; her nephew Victor Pople; and a multitude of extended family; her boy Jon Goodman and family. She loved poetry and until about a year ago could still recite many poems from memory. Many of her fondest memories included animals, especially horses, dogs and woodchucks. Plagued by ill health, the family curse - asthma - from a young age and forced to leave the farm for the city, she spent her life taking care of others and took great interest in young people. As her faculties and physical abilities failed her, she really resented becoming what she saw as a burden to her relatives and caregivers. The family is very grateful to Lions Place and the support of its wonderful staff which along with Home Care allowed Norah to live in her own apartment until her 98th year. Sincere gratitude to the caring staff on Station 3 at Tuxedo Villa which has been Norahs home since November 1999. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at Cartwright at a later date. In Norahs memory please give some TLC to any small creature which passes your way. Shed like that.
