WENDY HEATHER KING (Windross) Peacefully, with her family at her side, on Friday, June 27, 2003, Wendy, beloved wife of Ross Lindsay and mother of Melody Spence, passed away at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, MB. Wendy was born in Eriksdale on November 21, 1952. She attended the one-room school house in Lily Bay and graduated from Eriksdale School. Wendy worked in Winnipeg for a number of years before returning to Eriksdale where she started to work for the Lakeshore School Division in 1974. This is where she had worked for the past 29 years as the Director of Resource Services. Moms greatest pleasures were time spent with family, fishing, camping, gardening, her home, her pet dog Jake and her cat Blackie and lending a helping hand to anyone when needed. She leaves to mourn her husband Ross; her daughter Melody (Bill) her father-in-law Alf Lindsay; in-laws Violet and George King; her brothers and sisters, Edna (Gary), Tom (Donna), Ken (Linda), Debbie (Ben), Raymond (Teresa) along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, George and May Windross. As per Wendys wishes, she has been cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2 at St. Cuthberts Cemetery (Lily Bay) with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. All friends are considered honorary pallbearers. The family would like to thank all who attend the service.
