SIMONE STUART (nee PICHE) 1917 - 2003 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Simone, on Friday, June 27, 2003. She was embraced by the love of her family and took comfort in their presence during the final stage of her life. Simone will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Patrick, Melvin (Gail), Brian (Linda) daughters, Janine (Brian) Fijal and Darlene (Craig) Andrest; her brother Gerard (Janine) Piche; sister-in-law Helen Reynolds; daughter-in-law Judy Stuart; and nephew (godson) Larry Carriere; as well as many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband James in 1991; son Roger in 2003; brothers, Raymond and Germaine Piche; sister Giselle Carrier; and niece Raymonde (Lecocq). Simone was a loving, devoted wife and mother. She dedicated her life to her family and to the care of her husband during the years of his illness with MS. She faced lifes many challenges with courage and wisdom. She exuded positive energy, and her wonderful sense of humour prevailed even through times of adversity. Our mothers kind and gentle spirit will always be remembered and cherished. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to our friends at Foyer Valade for the loving care they provided to our mother. Friends may call on Thursday, July 3 between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 4 at 1:00 p.m. also in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.
