SUSAN WISHNOWSKI (HORROCKS) nee STOYKO January 12, 1911 - June 26, 2003 She will be remembered with much love by her family, son Robert Horrocks (Norma), grandchildren, Kimberley (Brian), Sheila (Daniel), Roberta, great-grandson Brandon, as well as her sister Sophie, niece Marcia, nephew Alex, brother William and cousin Jean. Sussie was predeceased by her husband Alexander, her mother Mary, father Alex, brothers, Dick, John, Nick and Alex. Sussie was born in Vita, MB where the family farmed. Later they moved to Winnipeg where they ran a restaurant on King Street. Sussie and her sister operated a hairdressing business for many years on Dufferin Avenue. After "retiring" she worked out of her home, continuing to maintain a loyal clientele. Mom (Baba) loved us unconditionally. We were truly her pride and joy. Sincere thanks to Dr. Sikora for his many years of care, the nurses on the third floor of Seven Oaks Hospital for their kind attention and compassion and Susan Edmond our wonderful social worker. A memorial service will be conducted at Christ Church, 1735 Corydon at Lanark, by the Rev. Canon Murray Still on July 2 at 3:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
