JOYCE MARY COLLINS (nee GRUNDY) Joyce Mary Collins, born June 10, 1925 in Makaroff, MB, died on Sunday, June 29, 2003 at Seven Oaks Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Joyce is survived by her three sons, Al (Sue), Marsh (Debbie), and Leon (Jane). Her grandchildren were a great joy in her life: Kelly, Leslie, and Laura, and Lacey, Trent and Morgan. She had a close relationship with her "Bro" Blake Grundy (Bonnie) of Toronto and cherished his Sunday morning phone calls for updates of his family and latest adventures. Joyces cousin Marney, and her husband Ed, with their children Lisa and Karen, were also very close to her and held a special place in her heart. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Herbert Lloyd Collins and parents, Joseph Allan Grundy and Dorothy Joliffe Grundy. Joyce liked nothing better than spending time with her family and friends. Her infectious laugh lit up the room! Despite ill health from diabetes for many years, Joyce always had a positive outlook on life and thought of others before herself. She was a very cheerful, happy soul who was greatly loved and will be sadly missed. A special thank you to the staff and friends of the Middlechurch Home Day Program. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Joyces memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or to the Childrens Hospital Research Foundation, 108-671 William Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0Z2.
