F. GEOFFREY PATRICK, F.C.A. January 18, 1918 - June 26, 2003 After a long and full life, Geoff Patrick passed away on June 26, 2003, at the age of 85. To cherish his memory are his children, Penny Brookes (Tony) and Terry Patrick (Marilyn) grandchildren, Geoff (Laureen), Trevor (Karla) and Derek (Shauna) Brookes; Darren, Megan and Kathryn Patrick; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Hillary, Sean, Chloe, Leah, Andrew and Lily. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce in 1996, his sister Mary Thomson in 2001, and his parents Frederick and Ann Patrick. He was a partner in the firm, now Deloitte and Touche, Chartered Accountants, from 1957 until his retirement in 1980. He held the position of Managing Partner of their Winnipeg Office for a number of years and served on its Canadian Policy Committee. Elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba in 1965, he served on the Institutes Council for six years. In 1967, he received the Salvation Armys highest honour for his service as Chairman of the Planning Committee which oversaw the construction of the new Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. He continued as Chairman of the Hospitals Board of Management until 1982 at which time he received an award for 25 years of faithful, invaluable service. His happiest times were at Victoria Beach in his circle of family and friends. Dad was devoted to his family and set an example of caring and closeness that lives on with all of us. A private family service has been held.
