KERSTIN (KATE) SOPHIA CRAWFORD April 30, 1908 - June 30, 2003 Mom passed away peacefully at home with family by her side. At a young age of 20, Mom and friends came from Sweden and settled in Colonsay, SK. She married Murney Crawford of Viscount, SK where they farmed, raised their family and were active members of the community and church. Mom was a Life Member of the Royal Purple. She was predeceased by her husband Murney; twin sister Lena; son-in-law Bill and sister-in-law Olive. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Gwen Leigh and Coral (Doug) Carmichael; grandchildren, Judy (Larry) Seel, Nancy Leigh and Bob (Sherry) Leigh. Great-grandchildren, Averill (Brennan), Lisa (Mike), Colin, Brenley, Sondra, Geoff, Dylan and Chad and her great-great-grandson Valen, as well as extended family and friends. A special thanks to Dr. Brian Sharkey, her neighbours, Jean and Margaret and all the home care aids and workers who made it possible for Mom to be made comfortable at home through her illness. Cremation has taken place and a family service will be held in Winnipeg with interment of ashes at Hillcrest Memorial in Saskatoon. Though she is gone, she remains In our memories and in our hearts A Gramas love is precious as silver. A Mothers love is precious as gold Memories that are cherish able for an eternity. She lived a fulfilled life With many Joys, Happiness, Laughters and Tears She as we knew her Was a glowing Angel A sweet dear lady Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren hold many memories But her daughters hold many more special memories Memories we all hold in our hearts forever. She was a wife for many years. A mother for many more. A loving grama, great grama and great great-grama And a wonderful friend She has moved on Free from pain to find A peace in paradise As we say our last good byes, she watches down on us. We will miss her, till we reunite again Though yet she is not gone, as she remains In our memories, and in our hearts.
