Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCARRIE-ANN MACDONALD- METCALFE Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer in the St. Boniface Hospital, Carrie-Ann MacDonald-Metcalfe passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2003 at the age of 34 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Glenn; life partner David; mother Judy; brothers, David and Eric; grandparents; uncle Brian and aunt Linda; cousins; a nephew and a niece and family. Carrie had a numerous extended family among her co-workers on G.D.4 at Health Sciences Centre. Born March 11, 1969 in Winnipeg, MB. Carrie had a strong inner strength that would help her through any adversity that would come her way. Carrie started her nursing career at Health Science Centre in 1990. Nursing was her calling in which she excelled. Her compassion, kindness and selflessness were her gifts and did not go unnoticed by her co-workers and patients whose lives she touched. She received the nursing Excellence Award in May, 2003. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 4 at 11:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Rd. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Sheila, Kim, Linda and Cheryl for their professional care and compassion during her illness. Thank you also to Lois, Doctors and staff, WR5 (Womans Hospital) and St. Boniface Palliative Care. "If I have helped one sparrow from falling. I have not lived in vain."
