IRWIN JOHN McBURNEY On July 1, 2003 at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, Irwin McBurney of Winnipeg, formerly of Sawyerville, Quebec, died at the age of 83 years. He is survived by his daughter, Ann (Alec) Reichert and children, Chris and Karla; his son, Michael (Rebecca) and children, Cameron and Joe. Also two sisters, Bertha (Gordon) Smith of Ottawa and Margaret (Ellis) Waldron of Montreal; and one brother Kenneth (Margie) of Sherbrooke, Quebec, and numerous nieces and nephews. Irwin was predeceased by his wife, Ruth in October, 2001. Irwins love for people of all ages was reflected in his gentleness and patience. His ability to believe in others left everyone he met feeling that much better about themselves. After retiring from farming, he and Ruth built their own home in which they took great pride. They then moved to Winnipeg in 1998, to be closer to family and made many friends at Donwood. Special thanks to Eileen Tissot for her weekly visits. Words cannot express the gratitude we as a family feel for all the staff of Donwood Manor, 2 North and Recreation Therapy Department. Celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 4 at 4:00 p.m. at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home Auditorium, 171 Donwood Dr., Winnipeg, with Rev. Gerhard Friesen officiating. Irwin and Ruths ashes will be interred together in Eaton Cemetery, QC at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Recreation Therapy Dept. at Donwood Manor, 171 Donwood Dr., Winnipeg, MB R2G 0V9. KLASSEN Funeral Chapel 1897 Henderson-North of McIvor-338-0331
