MARY MELDRUM Peacefully, on Sunday, June 29, 2003 in Ste. Anne Hospital at the age of 86 years. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 55 years, James; one daughter Dolly (Bill) five sisters, Florence (Don), Margaret, Anne, Irene (Julien), Dolores and one brother, Thomas; one grandson Jim (Bea) three grandchildren, Derek, Evan, Andrea and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was born in Ste. Rose Du Lac and raised in Crane River. She met and married her husband James in 1948 in Winnipeg and lived there until they purchased Caddy Lake Lodge in 1977. Together they owned and operated Edmonton Food Bar, Edmonton Street and Press Coffee Bar in the Free Press building. Nana will be fondly remembered for her homemade pies and her very talented gift with bead-work, as many family and friends can attest with their fancy plant holders and clocks. Retirement years were spent in Ste. Anne, MB and winters in Fort Myers, FL. In keeping with Marys wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, July 4 at 3:00 p.m. in Green acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3C 9Z9. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematorium Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, 222-3241
