ALBERT FRANCIS (FRANK) MILLS Frank died peacefully in the Concordia Hospital on July 2, 2003 at the age of 86 years. He was very proud to be the oldest living member of his family. Frank is survived by his daughter Margaret; son Albert; cousins, Dot and Alice Steinbart, Murray, Lorretta, Sarah and Eric Steinbart; and half-brother Gerald of Vancouver. He was predeceased by his wife Gladys of 61 years; parents; brother Elmer; sister Margaret (Watson) half-brother Oliver; half-sisters, Olive and Shirley; brother-in-law Stewart Wilson; sister-in-law Lena Kincaid. Frank was born in Port Arthur, ON and at a young age his family moved to Saskatchewan. At the age of 13, he began working on a farm for the next five years. Frank moved to Winnipeg where he met and married his wife Gladys and together they raised their children. He joined the RCAF and later worked for Imperial Oil for over 30 years. Frank was proud of his cottage at Ena Lake in which he built and had many good memories of the years spent there. He loved being with people and was always happy-go-lucky. Frank had a great sense of humour and would tell stories to anyone who would listen about his life on the farm, being in the Air Force and his time at the cottage. In his later years, Frank loved going to the Club Regent Casino and talking to the staff. The family would like to thank Dr. Mohammed and Evette, all the Concordia staff on 3 West for their kind care, as well as to family and friends. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 5 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
