FRASER 1936 - 2003 It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved husband and father passed away on July 5 at Riverview Centre following a brief illness. Norman and his family made their home in Transcona for the past 26 years. He was employed with the C.N.R. as a machinist and supervisor. He retired in 2000. Norman was a member of the Transcona Legion Branch #7, served for a time as 2nd Vice President and since November 2002, acted as Chairman of the Executive. Norman loved his dart games every Wednesday and the companionship of these get-togethers. Norman had many talents, he loved music, played saxophone, guitar and clarinet. He loved to sing and was gifted with a wonderful singing voice. Following his retirement he resumed another favourite hobby, painting in water colours, oil and acrylic. These paintings will be treasured by his family. Norman will be sadly missed by his wife Rose, daughter Jeannette, and son Craig. He also leaves to mourn his two sisters, Dinah Fraser of Liverpool, England, Melvena Berry of New Jersey, many nieces, nephews, dear friends, Norman kept a favourite spot in his heart for his dog Sammy, who was his "Bud". Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Chaplain Paul Martin officiating. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Riverview Centre or to a favourite charity. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
