CHAD WACHTENDORF On Sunday, July 6, 2003, at age 40, Chad Wachtendorf died as a result of a motorcycle accident. Chad was born on June 30, 1963 in Winnipeg and lived on the family farm in Niverville for most of his life. Together with his Dad, he ran a mixed grain and hog farm and for many years was also in the sugar beet growing industry. He was an avid motorcyclist, taking part in many runs for charity and for fun, and attended events like Sturgis annually. He will forever be remembered for his larger-than-life presence, his love of Harleys, his interest in history and antique vehicles, his carefree spirit and his annual Chadstock parties. He leaves to cherish his memory, his soul-mate Christine Gislason; his parents, William and Minnie Wachtendorf; his siblings, Reg (Lora) Wachtendorf, Darnelda (Bruce) Friesen, Cheryl (Paul) Turnley, Tricia Wachtendorf (David Satran) and their families. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 13 at 4:00 p.m. at the 4th Avenue Bible Church, Niverville, MB.
