Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH (CONNON) MILLER (nee HARPER) Peacefully, at the age of 88, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on July 6, 2003. A remarkable and much loved mother, grandmother and friend, she will be sorrowfully missed. Edith was born September 6, 1914 in Maidstone, SK. She resided in Norwood and St. Vital. Edith took great pride in the fact she helped raise her great-grandson Brett. Mom had a great love of life, a great sense of humour and numerous friends. Mom enjoyed dancing, swimming and travelling the world. She also loved to cook for her family and friends. Edith was predeceased by her first husband Thomas Connon; second husband Cecil Miller and sisters, Amy and Jessie. Edith leaves to mourn her brother Frank Harper; daughters, Judith Balan, Joan (Leo) Parr-Meaney; son Gregory (Judy) Connon. Also left to cherish her memory are her six grandchildren, Michelle (Eric), Sheree (Wally), Darrin (Jackie), Richelle, Rob, Curtis and four great-grandchildren, Brett, Jordan, Mark, Gregory, Tehya and her father Gord Ingram. A special thanks to Bill Trenchard for being a companion to Mom while living at Catherines Place. The family would also like to express sincere appreciation and thanks to all the staff at the Riverview Health Centre for the loving care and kindness. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating Ediths life will be held on Friday, July 11 at 2:30 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4 or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
