Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySAMUEL OSTROVE The family of the late Sam Ostrove are saddened to announce his passing on July 7, 2003. Born in Winnipeg, August 10, 1928. Sam is survived by his loving wife Ruth; his three daughters, Clarine (Judy Globerman), Faye (Mark Paul), Sharon (Mark Kaye) his four grandsons, Lyle and Ira Kaye, Rael and Brad Paul; his brother Moe (Molly) his sister Rebecca (Ben Kagan) his sister Sara Werbuk; and sister-in-law Helen Ostrove. Sam began his long retail career at an early age. In 1963, he established Bargain World which he operated until his retirement in 2002. He will always be remembered as a good friend, a compassionate and gentle soul, and a man with a great sense of humour. Graveside service held on July 9 at the BNay Abraham Cemetery, Rabbi Weizman officiated. Pallbearers were Mark, Lyle and Ira Kaye, Mark and Rael Paul, and Moe Ostrove. Honorary pallbearers were Zivey and Dolly Chudnow, Albert and Evelyn Wener, Rivke and Ernest Green and Morris and Edith Gardner. Donations in his memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
