EMIL DRABIK With family at his side, Emil passed away peacefully on July 9, 2003 at Red River Place in Selkirk. He is survived by his brother Peter (Olga), many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Emil was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Anne; his brothers, Michael and Joseph; sister Mary Buhay. Born in 1914, Emil lived the majority of his life on the farm. Besides farming, he was involved in the lumber industry, fur trading and buying and selling sineka roots. The Arborg community was very important to him. He loved the outdoors and continued to garden after retiring in 1984. He also enjoyed playing bingo and cribbage. Thank you to the staff at Red River Place, Selkirk and Arborg Hospital for their care and support over the past three months. Also thank you to Emils friends and neighbours, Pete Zubriski and the Rechiks, Elsie and Joe. Your friendship and constant help over the years was greatly appreciated. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Bjarmi Cemetery, Rev. Fr. David Kowalski will officiate. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
