DONALD GRANT MACLEAN Peacefully, on July 8, 2003 at St. Boniface Hospital, Donald MacLean, beloved husband of Doreen, passed away at the age of 82 years. Donald will be lovingly remembered by his wife Doreen of 53 years; sons, Don and Neil; daughters, Alison Parrish and Cheryl Ann Johnson; grandchildren, Allison, Donnie, Stephen, Laura and Levon. He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters and one brother. Donald was born in Winnipeg on October 9, 1920 and joined the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders in 1937, serving with them until 1947. He was employed at Eatons Delivery for 16 years, owned his own service station for five years following, and then worked in sales for Neptune Fisheries until his retirement. Donald was a member of the No. 16 Legion, and belonged to the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rites, and Khartum Temple Shrine. He enjoyed his summers at the cottage at Winnipeg Beach every year, and spent many winters in Arizona. Special thank you to the nursing staff of 7 West at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Donalds memory may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital or the Firefighters Burn Fund. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
