GRACE EVELYN WASYLIW It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Grace Wasyliw, on July 11, 2003 at her home with family at her side, at the age of 68. Grace will be lovingly remembered by her children, Joan (Marvin), Robert (Fran), Richard (Dorothy) and Pat (Gwen) grandchildren, Stefanie, David, Tim, Jeffry, Kaitlin, Noah and Carter; sisters, Mildred, Velma, Olive (Folke) and Audrey; brothers, Lloyd (Eleanor) and Glen (Mary) brother-in-law John (Rose). She was predeceased by her husband Bill; her parents, Eric and Lorna and brother Ted. Grace was born December 23, 1934 in Alpine, MB. After high school she moved to Winnipeg and worked at the Hotel Fort Garry where she met Bill, her husband of 45 years until his death in 1998. After raising her family, she worked at Jostens for 15 years until retiring at age 58. Moms priority was her family - she was always there for us and especially enjoyed sleepovers and time spent with her grandchildren. She was a kind, caring woman of great inner strength. Mom loved word games, especially crossword puzzles. She was an active member of the Ashbury Place Seniors Club, enjoying bingo, cribbage, bridge, darts, shuffleboard, casino trips and the monthly dinners. The family would like to thank the members of the St. Boniface Cancer Care team that were involved in Moms care. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Graces memory to Cancer Care Manitoba ON1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 15 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with Rev. Dorothy Zimmerman officiating. Reception will follow in Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
